it’s our hearts and minds, 

it’s goosebumps on my skull, 

a flow that never stops, 

a fire burning from within,

This life is a dream of another,

This story is written from the other side,

I go back and forth in time,

Through a gate no one has ever found.

There is no such thing as the known,

And believe in the magic of the heart.

This world can cause so much pain

To my fragile soul and my open heart,

I tried to love everyone and rejection is what I’ve got,

My feelings are hurt and my wounds are bleeding,

Distortion of my truth is done by human beings.

It is my life, my soul, my integrity,

I refuse to accept what seems like destiny,

I want to take control over the heartbreak,

Look up to the moon and wipe away the nightmare,

Start believing that sadness is not infinite,

That my strength and my joy will change my spirit.

Enough is enough, I open the door,

Step out of my shell and take control

Over despair and disempowerment,

Over other’s will and over my past. 

My soul is mine and I shine my light,

I believe in myself and in all the treasures I’ll find,

In this world and in its beauty,

Love shines on me today as the wind plays  in my hair,

The gift of life is in every sunbeam and in my every breath,

I hold my son close on this day of mine,

On my first birthday as a mother to a wonderful child.

With every moment I look for transformation of the past.

Being a woman 

Born as a human being,

Soft, beautiful, unaware of feelings,

Was I ever anything else than another soul who wanders?

So why did I have to fight for everything ten times harder?

Closing time 

Lights are out, hearts are tired,

There is no time for another round,

My heart is broken and we all go back 

To the beaten path of our lives,

You choose calmness over newness, excitement and joy,

Love is just another word with nothing more than pain,

I try not to hate you for all the broken dreams,

For all the waiting and longing and all the sleepless nights,

For all the lights you switched off before the curtain even went up. 

It’s closing time, it’s time to close the past,

No, I can never be your friend,

We were warriors and lovers and blood brothers and soul mates and much more than that

And no, all that hasn’t just happened in my head.

I don’t know what I will be or you will be now that the dark triumphed over the light,

I probably disappear into my world for a while,

Until the sun is back and rises over the mountains again,

Until we are ready to fight next to each other again,

Not like friends,

But the warriors of light what we’ve always been,

With energies that would help us through every battle field in life,

With dreams of a universe where there are no closing times.

Warrior love

Time goes by with the speed of light,

Life changes with the passion of the heart,

With the passing of the light on our souls,

The little things of light

I went through hell and died a million deaths,

I thought I’d never leave that hospital bed,

I thought I’d never see the sky again,

The smile of the world, my family, my children.

It has been a year but it’s still difficult, 

The feeling of helplessness hunted me in every way it could,

I live my life day by day,

I’m grateful for the little things,

But relive the nightmare in the most unexpected ways.

I have flashbacks and I’m back to that hospital bed,

The sleepless hours, the terror, the feeling of approaching death,

But I fight back and get back on my feet,

I find new things and meanings in my dreams,

I appreciate life itself,

Life as a gift, a rebirth, as the destiny in my hands.

I still have short of breath sometimes,

I still have my battles in the dark,

The sensation that I drown

In the black hole of the light. 

It will get better one day,

I need to walk my path,

Need to play the game 

With that unpredictable illness,

The game of life, the game of light,

The game of winning over darknesses heights.

I keep on fighting for my girls, for myself,

Use this experience to enjoy life to the fullest,

Use my strength to overcome the pain,

To see every little wonder,

Every little flame,

All the things that shine so bright,

And all the little things of light.

Bittersweet November

As November creeps under my skin 

I think of my Father and all who died,

The poems of his broken soul,

His last day in this life.

I look out of the window and watch the sun rays depart

From the remains of the raindrops to a place no one talks about.

I think of those who we lost, those who’ll never come back,

I lay my head down and escape to the past,

I walk down on aching avenues of dreams,

In my Father’s footsteps, in my Mother’s loving arms,

November robbed me of so many things and so many lights.

It’s gray and cold but candles are burning in the cemetery of broken hearts,

My salty tears are falling on bittersweet goodbyes,

I stand by the grave of my loved ones on a dark November night,

I let the tears fall,

As stars speak stories of eternal souls.

Blooming

The delusion of time

I find katharsis in music, in poetry and sound,

In the rhythm of my soul and the world around,

I look for a purpose in this life and want to make myself be heard in the crowd.

I stand out, I’m different, I don’t want an average life,

Desperation takes over 

And like a rock by the road

I witness life passing by,

I move on like a storm on a summer night,

And I find distraction from my thoughts

In the beauty of the light.

Is life an illusion in the delusion of time?

Is there something out there that can help me find the peace in my heart?
